1. Event Overview

Song Village is a community singing gathering held at Camp Loma in the Santa Cruz Mountains, California. The gathering includes shared meals, camping, song circles, and other community activities, most of which take place outdoors.

Participants are responsible for bringing their own camping gear and personal items unless otherwise specified.

2. Registration and Payment

All registrations must be completed through the official Song Village registration system.

Payment is required at the time of registration to secure a spot. Attendance is limited and registrations may close once capacity is reached.

A ticket may be purchased on behalf of another individual. However, the ticket is valid only for the named participant registered for the event.

Tickets may not be transferred or resold after purchase.

3. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Please be certain about your ticket purchase before registering, as operating costs and preparation time make full refunds difficult.

Participant Cancellation

  • Cancellations before Friday, May 23 will receive a 50% refund.

  • No refunds will be issued after May 23, regardless of attendance.

  • Tickets are final and non-transferable.

Weather Cancellation

Because much of the gathering takes place outdoors, the event may be cancelled in the unlikely event of significant rain.

If Song Village is cancelled due to weather:

Participants will receive a full refund minus $60.

This amount reflects fixed costs already committed to the venue and food providers and allows the financial risk to be shared among participants.

4. Attendance Expectations

Song Village is designed as a full weekend immersive gathering.

Participants are encouraged to attend for the full duration so the community can form and grow together. While attendees are free to leave temporarily if needed, partial attendance does not qualify for discounted or partial tickets.

5. Children and Teens

Children and teens are welcome at Song Village.

  • Children ages 4–18: $300 registration fee

  • Children age 3 and under: Free

Song Village does not currently offer a children’s program.

Children who attend should be able to participate with awareness of the group and shared spaces. If a child becomes distracting during a song circle, caregivers are asked to gently guide them toward another engaging activity.

Caregivers remain responsible for supervising children at all times.

6. Meals

Organic meals are provided from Thursday dinner through Sunday breakfast.

Participants will gather for meals as part of the community experience.

7. Drug and Alcohol Policy

Song Village is a drug- and alcohol-free gathering.

This policy helps maintain an atmosphere of presence, connection, and shared attention within the community.

Participants who do not respect this policy may be asked to leave the gathering.

8. Community Care and Health Guidelines

Participants are asked to care for the health and wellbeing of the community.

Please do not attend the gathering if you feel sick, even if you believe your illness is not COVID-19.

Participants are also asked to limit potential exposure to COVID-19 during the week leading up to the gathering.

Once the gathering begins:

  • Participants will be unmasked

  • Participants will not be socially distanced

If you are not comfortable with this level of closeness, we encourage you to join us in a future year.

9. Cell Service

Cell reception at Camp Loma is limited. Many participants appreciate the opportunity to unplug during the gathering.

If needed, reliable service can usually be found a short drive away from camp.

10. Work Exchange and Scholarships

Song Village may offer a limited number of work exchange opportunities and scholarships to support access to the gathering.

Participation in these programs is determined at the discretion of the Song Village organizers.

11. Event Changes

Song Village reserves the right to make adjustments to programming, schedule, or event logistics when necessary for the wellbeing of the gathering.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a ticket or attending Song Village, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Registration Policies.
